George Hammond

Samantha Carter

She is an astrophysicist, engineer and pilot. She was leader of the Atantis base for a year, after her key role of bringing the Stargate program into existence. She was commander of the Daedalus class, "George Hammond," which was named for his leadership role in Stargate command, which ended in 2008 with a heart attack.

Carter the daughter of Deborah and Jacob was born on December 29, 1968. She has a brother named Mark. He is married with two children David and Lisa.

Sam got her name because her father wanted a boy.  Her mother died when she was twelve. She died on the way home from the airport. Mark didn't forgive his father for many years.
